Prague, 12 July 2006 - T-Mobile has introduced the latest version of its partnership program. As of July, the system of partner solutions which ensure, for example, mobile data collection, remote access to the office, car-fleet management, household security, SMS applications and premium services, will operate in a new and improved form. Companies cooperating with T-Mobile can thus look forward to a much broader program of support, which will depend on the scope of mutual cooperation. According to this parameter, partners will be divided into four categories. Intel and Microsoft are the strategic partners of the program.
The program allows partner companies to use the T-Mobile network's technological platform for the development of their own products and services intended for both corporate and private end-users. The annual double-digit growth of the number of SIM cards in use proves the popularity of this program.
"Improvement of the partnership program has been our long-term goal. I am convinced that the current set-up of clear rules will help to enhance cooperation with partner companies, which will ultimately mean more advantages and higher quality of services provided to our customers," says Jaroslav Macnar, Vice President of Wholesale Marketing at T-Mobile.
The main innovation in comparison with the original system is the division of partnership-program members into four categories:
Based on the individual categories, partners will be entitled to a wide spectrum of support provided by T-Mobile. Cooperation between individual companies and T-Mobile consists of three main areas: marketing, sales and technology.
Marketing support includes, for example, the publication of products in the Partnership Solutions Catalogue regularly published by T-Mobile in three versions: print, internet and electronic on CD. The solutions will also be presented in T-Mobile's corporate media intended for business customers (such as T-Mobile's Professional magazine).
In the area of sales, partners will gain access to the common marketing fund and will take part in a number of seminars and presentations of new products and services, organized by T-Mobile for its partners and customers.
Within technical support, members of the partnership program may use, for example, a nonstop Infoline, and each of them will receive a "starting package" (i.e. all materials relevant to membership in the program, test SIM cards, etc.).
The number of companies interested in cooperation with T-Mobile increases each year. The successfulness of the program is demonstrated by the increasing number of SIM cards used for individual partner solutions. For example, between 2003 and 2004, their number grew by 54%, while an increase of almost 60% was recorded in the following year.
However, the launch of the new system is not the end of the partner-solutions development. The dynamic development offers new possibilities for use of mobile applications. For example, car-fleet management is no longer a key factor just for large corporations. More and more small and medium-sized companies have to optimize their costs as well. The importance of car-fleet management is growing, as there are more than 400,000 trucks registered in the Czech Republic.
Partner cooperation started in 2002. After four years, 32 partners are using the T-Mobile network, offering a total of 64 solutions, which are mostly used for mobile data collection, remote access to the office, M2M applications (telemetry, car-fleet management, security of vehicles and buildings) and for SMS applications. The number of partners is by no means limited and the partnership program is still open to anyone who might be interested.
