Mobile internet from T-Mobile: simpler, faster, cheaper

• Speeds of up to 42 Mbps with all plans and bundles

Prague, 21 January 2013 – T-Mobile has revamped its portfolio of services and is introducing a new generation of attractively priced data plans and bundles under the unified name Mobilní internet (Mobile Internet). The redesigned portfolio of data services is very broad, offering data allowances from 150 MB to 30 GB, so that any customer will be able to pick one that best suits his or her needs; moreover, customers can browse the internet at speeds of up to 42 Mbps. When activating a new data plan for tablets or notebooks, current customers will receive a CZK 150 discount on their monthly fee applicable for the entire contract term. The offer is valid from 27 January 2013. 

“We have complemented the successful S námi and Podnikatel+ plans with purely data plans for tablets and notebooks and new mobile internet bundles for handsets. Thus virtually everyone will be able to select a service from our broad and transparent portfolio,” says Milan Hába, Vice President Category & Product Management at T-Mobile, adding: “Thanks to tablets, mobile internet is becoming a tool with mass availability and that is one more reason why we are glad that we can offer the service intended for these devices to our customers for prices starting at CZK 199 per month.”

For the sake of simplicity, the operator will combine the names of two services – Internet v mobilu (Internet in Handsets) and Internet na cesty (Internet for Travelling) – under one name: Mobilní internet (Mobile Internet). The new data generation (with the exception of the two lowest-end bundles) is thus designed for all available devices, whether handsets, tablets or notebooks. The offer of plans has been extended to include plans with 1GB and 10GB data allowances to better suit specific needs of customers and devices. Additionally, it gives the same opportunity to all users to fully enjoy a high-speed internet experience, as all new plans offer the possibility to surf the net at maximum download speeds of up to 42 Mbps. 

The best service for our customers
T-Mobile has again prepared an extra offer for its loyal customers who already use a voice plan. Customers wishing to activate new mobile internet plans for tablets or notebooks will automatically receive a uniform discount of CZK 150 per month, which is valid for the entire contract term. This offer is intended for existing customers who signed a contract for a voice and data plan for a fixed term. 

The operator also has something to offer for those who wish to try mobile surfing for the first time. When activating any bundle for an indefinite term, they will receive a 50% discount applicable for the first two months.

Customers who use up their data allowance (thus reducing their connection speed) do not have to despair, as the operator has increased the speed available after the data allowance is used up to 64/32 kbps. Customers will also receive a free notification text message including a link to a mobile page where they can increase their data volume on a one-off basis. Notebook users can increase their data allowance via the My T-Mobile application. 

Customers signing a 24-month contract for a data plan can still make use of an offer to purchase the Huawei E 3131 USB modem for CZK 1. The modem supports the 21.6 Mbps speed which is available in the entire network. 

Users of the currently offered data plans and three-in-one and two-in-one mobile internet bundles (Internet na cesty 2v1 and 3v1) can continue using them, but these plans and bundles will no longer be on offer.
