LTE NETWORKS: T-MOBILE COVERS MORE PARTS OF PRAGUE AND THE PLZEŇ REGION

LTE coverage in Prague extended to 80% of the city’s population
In the Plzeň region, the LTE network newly covers the communities of Třebčice, Nepomuk and Útušice, among others
Forty-five percent of all mobile devices in the operator’s portfolio now support LTE   

Prague, 1 August 2014 – T-Mobile has extended its LTE coverage in Prague to 80% of the city’s population. The availability of the operator’s fastest internet service has also been expanded in the Plzeň region. In addition, the operator has further expanded its LTE network in areas that are already covered with LTE signal.    

The following districts of are newly covered with the LTE network: Zličín, Točná, Dolní Chabry, Čimice, Bohnice, Velká Chuchle, Ruzyně, Střešovice, Letná, Holešovice and Staré Město. 

In the Plzeň-South district, the operator’s fastest internet service is now available to residents of Třebčice, Útušice, Tojice, Mohelnice and Nepomuk, among others.  

Forty-five percent of all mobile devices in the operator’s portfolio now support LTE technology, including more than 40% of mobile handsets, nearly 40% of modems and nearly 60% of tablets. The operator also offers lower-end LTE-enabled handsets; the cheapest such device currently offered by T-Mobile is the Nokia Lumia 635 priced at CZK 4,599.
