Prague, 23 October 2002 â?" RadioMobil has started offering its customers new Java games for other types of mobile phones. In addition to owners of Siemens MT50, users of Nokia 3410, Nokia 6310i and Nokia 7650 can also download and save Java games. The games offered are available via WAP and now also via the Internet and SMS.
â?śWe are the only national operator to offer our customers games based on the Java technology. In June, we introduced the first Java capable phone on the market, Siemens MT50, which is intended exclusively for T-Mobile customers. Our current offer proves that we want to make this technology of the future available for more mobile phone usersâ?ť, says JiĹ?í DvorjanÄŤanský, Marketing Director of RadioMobil.
Three user interfaces allow access to Java games. The games offered can be easily ordered via the Internet, WAP or SMS, and then saved into oneâ??s mobile or sent to other mobiles as presents. Customers do not have to own phones supporting the Java technology to order games for other phone numbers.
On the Internet, customers can find Java games on www.t-zones.cz in the section Downloads under â?śJava hryâ?ť. After selecting the phone type, the list of games offered is shown. To order the chosen game, users select â?śObjednatâ?ť and fill in the phone number to which the game is to be sent. A WAP link, via which the game can be saved into the mobile, is then sent to that number.
To order Java games via WAP, users select â?śDownloadsâ?ť or â?śt-gamesâ?ť. After choosing the required game, users select â?śStáhnout tuto položkuâ?ť and either leave their phone number or fill in the number of a friend to whom the game is to be sent.
The third possibility to order Java games is via an SMS containing the key word and an abbreviation of the selected motif. After sending the SMS to 5005, customers receive a WAP link via which they can download the game into their phones. In the case that customers want to send the game to another phone number, this number shall be typed at the end of the SMS. For example, to send the Java game called Sheriff to Siemens MT50 with the phone number 603 123 456, the following text shall be sent: SMT50HRA SHERIFF +420603123456.
All Java games offered are divided into â?śJava hry 1â?ť and â?śJava hry 2â?ť. At present, CZK 30 excluding VAT (CZK 31.50 including VAT) is charged for downloading one game from â?śJava hry 1â?ť. Games in â?śJava hry 2â?ť are free of charge until revoked; these games can only be downloaded in oneâ??s own mobile phone and then be used for one month (30 days). The price for the WAP connection is charged according to the respective tariff.
