Prague, 26 October 2011 – T-Mobile will start giving out Christmas presents in November. And customers really have something to look forward to. Beginning 1 November, all of the operator's customers can choose from a generous Christmas offer: data volumes (FUP) under the selected Internet v mobilu (Mobile Internet) plans will be doubled, smart phones will be available for even more attractive prices and, when extending their contract or activating a new one, customers can make use of web browsing, calls and SMS within the T-Mobile network in the Czech Republic on weekends completely free of charge throughout 2012.
“We believe that our customers will have a good time this Christmas with their family and friends and that the special Christmas offer will make their holidays even more pleasurable. The offer is based on the wishes and user behaviour of our customers,” says Alexandra Korman, Vice President Consumer Marketing at T-Mobile, adding: “We have prepared really attractive presents for them: the largest data volume in the fastest network or free weekend calls, SMS and web browsing for all of 2012.”
Bigger data volume
Beginning in November, T-Mobile is doubling the limit for data transmitted via mobile telephones for both its existing as well as new customers. Mobile internet users can thus download applications, browse the web and share family pictures and funny Christmas videos with friends via the internet without any worries.
The FUP increase applies to the following bundles:
For existing users, the FUP limit will be increased automatically from the next billing period, no later than from 13 November 2011. In the case of fixed-term contracts, the limit is increased until the expiry of the commitment period for the bundle. With open-ended contracts, the double FUP limit is valid until 31 January 2012.
Smart phone as a present
The operator is bringing joy also to those who would like to receive a smart phone as a Christmas present, as prices of almost all models will be significantly reduced before the holidays. The attractive offer of handsets for special prices is intended for all customers who activate or extend voice services for 24 or 36 months while activating the Internet v mobilu bundle.
Examples of Christmas prices:
Smart phone | Basic price | Special price |
Samsung S5830 Galaxy Ace | CZK 5,999 | CZK 499 |
Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II | CZK 13,499 | CZK 6,499 |
Nokia 500 | CZK 4,299 | CZK 1 |
Nokia 700 | CZK 6,999 | CZK 999 |
The prices include VAT. The special price applies with the extension or conclusion of a Subscriber Contract for two or three years together with a commitment to have Internet v mobilu Klasik activated and to spend a minimum of CZK 500 per month.
Free weekend services next year
The third time’s the charm as they say. T-Mobile's third offer consists in all-inclusive weekends. On all Saturdays and Sundays in 2012, i.e. a total of 52 weekends, or 105 days, customers can make free calls and send free text messages to the T-Mobile network in the Czech Republic, as well as browse the web free of charge with a maximum data limit of 50MB.
A weekend is counted from 0:00:01 on Saturday to 23:59:59 on Sunday. The data limit is intended primarily for testing the internet service; therefore it cannot be used with monthly bundles. The offer applies to newly concluded or extended contracts or to customers switching from Twist to a contract, always for a fixed term of 36 months if customers purchase a subsidised device or 24 months if they do not purchase a subsidised device.
The special Christmas offer is intended for all customers, including corporate customers who have not signed a Frame Contract. The double FUP limit can also be used by customers with a Frame Contract.
