Prague, 12 April 2010 - Not all telecommunications services need to be paid for, especially not with T-Mobile. There are plenty of free services and tips for saving money - in many cases quite significantly - at www.t-mobile.cz. These include information services, as well as offers for downloading music and possibilities of getting a free Twist card with a small amount of start-up credit.
"T-Mobile is always trying to offer something extra and useful to their customers," says Martina Kemrová, Senior Head of Corporate Communication at T-Mobile. "The same applies to the free offers: whether it is news, music or simply the popular internet SMS and MMS portal, not only the price, but also the content are important. Our customers can save money by using the right combinations of paid services such as calling, sending SMS or multimedia messages directly from their mobile phones or the internet.
A telephone is not only a communication device; it can also be a useful source of information, e.g. T-Mobile offers free monthly news broadcasts from the Z1 TV channel and delivery of SMS and MMS with sport content. MMS channels can be tested free of charge and offer not only news but also, for example, the MMS Kamasutra videochannel, MMS English lessons, MMS recipes and MMS and SMS information on the Czech TV series Vyprávěj (Tell Me). After the trial period, the information channels are charged in accordance with the price list in force. However, if the customer is not interested in the respective information channel, he/she can naturally cancel the service free of charge. The complete overview is available at www.t-mobile.cz/zdarma.
T-Mobile customers can visit the t-music portal at no cost and receive a complete MMS news service from the world of music. The t-music information channel provides news about albums, concerts, the t-music chart and backstage information, as well as information on interesting competitions. Visitors have recently been able to set their own prices for downloading the following albums: Jeviště (The Stage) by Kryštof, Návod ke čtení manuálu (Instructions for Reading Manuals) by Xindl X, 54 dole hlavou (54 head down) by Horkýže Slíže and Klenot (Jewel) by Vypsaná fiXa. The latest release in this programme is the Czech band Imodium's Polarity album.
If you are not using mobile internet, it is high time you try it. If you order the Surf+ or Surf&Mail+ add on by 30 April 2010, you will receive mobile internet access for a full month free of charge. Customers with the pre-paid Twist service can use Twist Surf+ for two weeks free of charge until 30 April 2010. The offer applies to the first activation of these add-ons.
Sending SMS to T-Mobile numbers via the SMS portal, which can be used by customers of any mobile operator, is also free of charge. In addition, T-Mobile has prepared a free MMS portal for its customers. From the point of view of the recipient, SMS and MMS messages sent via T-Mobile customer's web portal look completely identical to those sent from a mobile phone.
Another free service worth trying is Postm@an, which offers free delivery of e-mails to mobile phones via a single SMS. Postm@n also offers advanced versions which enable dividing incoming e-mails into several SMS or delivering them via MMS including attachments. However, these versions are charged.
For customers facing financial issues, T-Mobile has prepared two solutions for keeping in touch with loved ones. Contract customers can switch to the pre-paid Twist service without having to change their phone number, while customers using the Twist service can receive calls and SMS even if they have zero credit.
The icing on the cake is the combination of mobile services and fixed ADSL internet access or any of the packages or add-ons (e.g. the 2v1 package, 20% discount when using the eShop or signing a fixed-term contract), which can save customers up to hundreds of crowns every month.
Additional packages and tariff-plan add-ons offer the biggest opportunities for savings. These enable customers to get cheaper SMS and MMS, as well as calls to loved ones, fixed lines and T-Mobile numbers. Special packages offering either significantly cheaper free minutes or unlimited calls at selected times to fixed networks or the T-Mobile network are also available.
