February News: ClickBox Still for Free
- Starting 1st February no one-time fee will be charged for changeover from prepaid to selected standard tariffs
- Prepaid Paegas Twist cards can now be recharged on-line from ATM, with a free benefit of 10% of credit amount
- RadioMobil closed roaming agreements with as many as 200 GSM network operators worldwide
- SMS short text messages can be used for voting in selected television programs
So far no other Czech operator has offered a universal electronic mailbox, which can handle e-mails as well as faxes and voice messages â?" only ClickBox can do that. According to the price list the user pays 90 KÄŤ for its activation and the same amount each month. This service has been completely free of charge until now, and the opportunity to try it out prolongs until the end of February. Apart from ClickBox, Paegas users can also choose the e-mail box ClickBox Easy, which offers many options for forwarding messages to the mobile phone. Furthermore, all messages can be easily accessed using a WAP supporting phone. ClickProfil offers easy control of services and in ClickWAP customers can personalise their WAP gate. Apart from ClickBox, all other services included in Paegas Click are free of charge â?" only ordered services are paid for.
Paegas has agreements with 200 roaming partners
Owners of mobile phones can now use networks of two hundred operators from 88 countries of the whole world on their trips abroad. As a matter of course, roaming agreements include sending short text messages from all locations, and are available to users of standard tariffs as well as to users of the prepaid Paegas Twist. â?śOn their trips abroad, our customers can rely on the fact that they can make a call almost everywhere where there is a GSM operator,â?ť said the spokeswoman of RadioMobil Tereza Kakosová.
Changeover from Twist to a regular tariff completely free of charge
Starting 1st February, users of prepaid Paegas Twist services who want to change to any of Paegas standard tariff programs do not have to pay a 525 KÄŤ one-time fee. Their phone number will of course remain the same. The client can simply choose a standard tariff that best fits his/her needs and subscribe to RadioMobil. In such case, the changeover to the tariff program will be provided completely for free.
Paegas Twist cards can be quickly and easily recharged from ATM
RadioMobil is the first to come to the Czech market with the easiest way to recharge prepaid cards using ATM machines. Practically every owner of any of the most widely used payment cards can quickly and easily recharge any mobile phone that uses a prepaid Paegas Twist card. Unlike with other already existing systems, a customer of Paegas Twist has to neither wait until a bill is printed, nor call the recharge line manually. In addition to that, s/he gets up to 400 crowns for free, because each recharge using ATM automatically adds 10 per cent to the credit amount.
SMS can be used for voting in television programs
Owners of Paegas mobile phones can now contribute to five different programs of Czech Television also using SMS short text messages. In this manner, one can participate in selecting a home video in Neváhej a toÄŤ, vote for music videos in the programs Medúza and POP 2001, and via SMS everyone can express their opinion to current social issues that are discussed in the political weekly Bez imunity and in ÄŚerná a bílá. One can vote anytime, only in the case of the weekly Bez imunity are votes registered only during the broadcast. Paegas helps educate Internet users
RadioMobil has become partner of a campaign called â?śInternet Changes the Worldâ?ť, the aim of which is to acquaint both expert and general public with advantages that Internet brings to its users. Czech government representatives and parliament members (Minister of Interior Stanislav Gross, Minister and Government Office Manager Karel BĹ?ezina, and MPs Vladimír MlynáĹ? and Ivan Langer) together with representatives of the Information Society Association (SPIS) will tour twelve large cities of the country to demonstrate usage of the Internet in various fields. The presentations are intended for representatives of secondary schools, local authorities, entrepreneurs and managers, but also for general public.

The joint-stock company RadioMobil is the operator of a GSM 900/1800 MHz network called Paegas. Since 1996, when RadioMobil entered the Czech market and brought in competition, it obtained almost two million customers. RadioMobil sells prepaid services under the brand Paegas Twist, which is the most successful prepaid service in the Czech market, providing its users with a whole range of services such as data and fax connection, GSM Banking based on the SIM Toolkit standard, Paegas Assistant services, access to WAP services and furthermore it offers a free e-mail ClickBox Easy. Paegas Click is another brand of RadioMobil, focused on customers with Internet or WAP access. At www.click.cz they can easily configure services as well as for instance use a comprehensive e-mail box based on the unified messaging technology.
RadioMobil belongs to the Deutsche Telekom Group â?" one of the worldâ??s biggest telecommunication operators. Through its subsidiary company T-Mobil (Deutsche Telekomâ??s mobile operator) it owns 87.3 % in the consortium CMobil. Other shareholders of CMobil are: STET Mobile Holdings N.V. (12 %) and PVT a.s. (0.7 %). The international consortium CMobil is, together with ÄŚeské radiokomunikace, a shareholder of RadioMobil. In 2001 CMobil is going to enforce an option that will increase its stake in RadioMobil from the existing 49 % to 60.8 %.
Today, the Paegas GSM network covers over 99% of the Czech population and 99.8% of first class roads. RadioMobil customers may use their mobile phones in networks of 200 operators from 88 countries of the whole world (121 various locations altogether). By the end of 2000, more than 1,850,000 customers were using Paegas services.
