Prague, 4 February - T-Mobile has prepared, not only for its customers in love, an original Valentine's Day gift, which will bring the partner's attention to more important things than the mobile phone display. The Connected Underwear set includes special chips that silence the partner's phone by putting it in “loving” (ie off-line) mode. Connected Underwear sets will be available from February 6th at www.lovemagenta.com. By selling smart underwear, T-Mobile reminds people not to forget the need for intimate closeness in relationships because of their passion for digital technology. From 6 February, T-Mobile will support the offer of smart underwear by campaigns on social networks under the slogan "Just give the right signal".
Set of two pieces of magenta underwear can be ordered in any combination. Underwear has a pocket for a "love" chip, which, when connected to an application on partners' phones, will help enrich partnerships. A chip in the underwear of an enticing partner simply directs the attention of its counterpart from the phone or tablet toward love activities. The partner's phone paired with the chip suddenly begins to play romantic music and switches to off-line mode. The Love Mode setting, which blocks all incoming calls and messages, must be confirmed by the recipient of the proposal on the phone.
By offering Connected Underwear, T-Mobile responds to feelings of more and more users. Digital technologies affect people's lives more than they want. For example, a representative survey among the adult Czech population (18–65 years), prepared for T-Mobile by Ipsos, has shown that 85% of people consider it appropriate to take a break from technology sometimes. Once a week, however, only 28% of respondents enjoy digital detox. “We want to encourage young couples to work against digital alienation”, says Wolfgang Kampbartold, Vice President of International Market Communications at Deutsche Telekom. “The Love Magenta Connected Underwear is a deliberately ridiculous product. We wanted to use humor to generate awareness and get people talking.”
Connected Underwear costs € 25.00 and consists of Love Magenta Textile Bag, one pair of underwear and two 40mm x 24mm x 3mm Love chips.
More information about the product can be found at https://www.lovemagenta.com/connected-underwear. Limited sales of Connected Underwear starts on February 6th.
