Easy Travelling Around the World with Paegas

• RadioMobil has concluded over 130 roaming contracts with operators from almost 70 countries
• Paegas Holiday Roaming allows everyone to use the mobile telephone abroad

RadioMobil provides its customers with the greatest freedom for travelling abroad as the Paegas mobile telephone can be used with the same number in almost seventy countries in over 130 networks of different operators. In addition to this, a new service has been introduced at the beginning of the summer. Its name is Paegas Holiday Roaming. Roaming will be activated to all RadioMobils customers subscribed to any of four tariff packages with no additional conditions within the framework of this service. "Since the beginning, we have tried not only to extend the coverage of the Czech Republic but we have also paid a great attention and effort to roaming contracts conclusion. We have thus become the leading company on the Czech market because such freedom of travelling around the world has not been offered by anyone else so far," indicated Tereza Kakosová, Press Spokeswoman of the RadioMobil Company. The Paegas GSM network operator is the only mobile operator in the Czech Republic, which provides its customers with the possibility of mobile telephone usage on all five populated continents. It has been also possible to buy or hire an Inmarsat satellite telephone, offering almost 100% coverage, in Paegas shops for more than a year. The same goal can be achieved by usage of a telephone working with another satellite system named Iridium because RadioMobil has concluded contracts on roaming interconnection with the operator of this system as well. "It is the matter of course that our customers can utilize the SMS based services like Paegas Info, Paegas E-mail even with the Paegas SIM Toolkit support provided that a particular foreign operator supports these services as well," noted Tereza Kakosová. "We have performed an extensive testing of this service before offering it to our customers to be confident that we have been offering a good product to them. We can not afford to introduce a service and to finalize all procedures gradually during its operation depending on the response of customers. I think that the public already knows how important is it for us to be on the top of modern technology application while paying a great attention to the ease and extent of its utilization," added Tereza Kakosová. The Paegas Holiday Roaming service will allow our customers to telephone not only in the Czech Republic but also almost all over the Europe (in 20 countries and in 47 networks altogether), without having to activate the roaming. In the past, roaming has been activated only to these customers who have paid the deposit of CZK 5,000 or who have met other conditions required for roaming activation. The Paegas Holiday Roaming will be automatically activated to all new and present Paegas service users free of charge starting from the beginning of July. Calls from abroad are charged according to roaming rates of individual foreign operators - even prices of different operators in one country can differ significantly. Final call price also depends on the actual exchange rate of the Czech Crown. Everyone can thus take the advantage of mobile telephone usage not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad today.

"Similarly as at home, our clients can be certain of the most advantageous prices even when using their Paegas mobile telephone in a foreign network. RadioMobil has the lowest prices of international calls among Czech GSM operators and it is important to mention that this is the price which is charged to the customer for an incoming call when roaming abroad," noted Tereza Kakosová. On the other hand, when calling within a foreign country or from that country home, customers are charged the amount defined by the respective operator - this amount is the same for all users roaming within the particular network. "Even here, RadioMobil offers the rates which are ten percent lower than usual thanks to its foreign partners. This applies to the following networks: D1 in Germany, MaxMobil in Austria, Era in Poland and TIM in Italy," specified Tereza Kakosová. RadioMobil, Joint Stock Company operates the GSM network named Paegas. The most important company shareholders are ÄŚeské Radiokomunikace a.s. (51%) and CMobil international consortium, which owns 49% of shares. CMobil consortium is formed by the worlds greatest mobile operator T-Mobil (Germany), Italian operator TIM, PVT, TMP and SKS. Today, Paegas GSM network covers over 96% of Czech population. Paegas customers can travel to 66 countries and utilize roaming services in 131 networks with their mobile telephone. Over 530,000 customers utilized the Paegas GSM network services during June 1999.
