Prague, 2 December 2002 â?" T-Mobile is introducing several developments before Christmas holiday. A new MMS client enables viewing MMS on the MDA display. T-Mobile is the only national operator and one of the first operators in the world to offer MMS viewing on PDAâ??s. T-Mobile SMS Connect is a service intended, in particular, for business customers. It allows them to send and receive multiple SMS, therefore being suitable for organizing SMS-based events. T-Mobile SMS Analyser allows customers to immediately sort and statistically evaluate incoming SMS. MobileBox and MobileBox Easy offer even more comfort thanks to a number of new features.

MMS client for MDA
Up to the present, T-Mobile MDAâ??s did not support the MMS format. Viewing and sending MMS is available to customers as of 2 December thanks to the MMS client, which can be obtained in several ways.

MMS client can be downloaded free of charge on http://www.t-mobile.cz/mda/upgrade/. (The link can also be found on the home page of a localized Internet viewer of an MDA or under Favourite Items). From there, customers can download it on a standard PC. Then customers copy the file downloaded (with the help of a cradle and the connection of the MDA to the PC) into the MDA. There, the file will be automatically started and installed. Customers can also download the application via GPRS directly to their MDAâ??s. The installation file has approximately 1.7 MB, and customers will be charged for the amount of data transmitted.

In the case of new T-Mobile MDAâ??s, the MMS client will be contained on the installation CD. The client will be automatically installed upon the installation of the Czech language or the T-Mobile setting.

T-Mobile SMS Connect
T-Mobile SMS Connect allows users efficient communication with customers â?" e.g., listeners or spectators, who can either vote or answer competition questions via SMS. Users of all networks can send SMS to one T-Mobile number. The service also makes it possible for users to send multiple SMS to their customers to all mobile networks which support SMS.

The service offers a wide range of possible use. Its users can easily organize SMS voting, competitions and SMS-based events. For instance, a radio station can use the service to organize voting for a particular song. Listeners will send the name of the song via SMS, which will be analysed, and the moderator will receive the information concerning the song selected.

To use the service, customers need a PC or a notebook with Microsoft Windows and permanent Internet connection. Customers interested in the service will receive their user number from a special row of numbers 7363xxxx according to their selection after booking the service. All SMS sent to this number will be forwarded securely via the Internet to their PC and then analysed in detail with the help of the T-Mobile Analyser software. All users of the service will be automatically provided with this software.

T-Mobile SMS Analyser
T-Mobile SMS Analyser is intended for sending, receiving and processing SMS directly on a computer. Via this software, customers can organize SMS voting or competitions, to create applications for data collection, etc. It also enables processing SMS according to its content, sender, time of delivery or other specifications. The messages can then be forwarded to an e-mail address or as an SMS, further stored and evaluated. Based on the content of the message, external databases or the Internet can be searched.

In addition to T-Mobile SMS Connect, the software can be used with T-Mobile DA-SMSC (fixed connection to the SMS Centre) and with selected types of mobile phones and GSM modules.

New features of MobileBox and MobileBox Easy
As of 4 December, new features of MobileBox and MobileBox Easy will be introduced. The feature called â?śIdentityâ?ť will enable customers to define various identities or profiles (e.g., personal, corporate, etc.) for sending e-mail and fax messages. For instance, in the corporate identity (profile), customers can set up their personal name, the name of their company, their e-mail address, automatic signature or a text and logo in the header of the fax message. When sending a new message, customers can just select this identity, and the form of the message (first name, surname, e-mail address, signature, etc.) will be the same as the form of messages sent from their corporate mail or fax server. The identities can be changed, deleted or added.

Another feature of MobileBox will allow customers to store SMS delivered to their phones. Users will forward the SMS to 3322 which will be stored in MobileBox as a standard e-mail. Thus, customers can store an unlimited number of SMS for which there is no space available in their phone and the messages may be processed as standard e-mails.
