Prague, 18 March 2011 – In view of the serious situation of SAZKA, T-Mobile and SAZKA have agreed to suspend the top-up of Twist prepaid cards via SAZKA terminals. Beginning 6 p.m. on 18 March 2011, it will no longer be possible to use this top-up method.
“Suspending a service is a serious step which we decided to take only after exhausting all alternative options,” explains Milan Vašina, T-Mobile's Managing Director, adding: “We are aware that this measure can cause complications for our customers. However, I can assure them that there are a number of alternative top-up methods and that we will do our best as to minimise impacts on customers.”
Customers can top up credit at, for example, T-Mobile shops and partner shops which offer both top-up vouchers and on-line credit top-up. Credit can also be topped up at selected ATMs of ČSOB, Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna, Poštovní spořitelna, Volksbank, Euronet and Citibank.
Additionally, customers can top up their Twist cards from the comfort of their homes using on-line payment – either directly on T-Mobile's website or via the internet banking services of six financial institutions (Česká spořitelna, ČSOB, GE Money, Komerční banka, Poštovní spořitelna, UniCredit Bank).
Customers can also opt for standard paper top-up vouchers that are available at hundreds of retailers throughout the Czech Republic. In addition to CZK 400, 600 and 1,000 vouchers, the operator today began distributing a special edition of CZK 250 top-up vouchers to suit the needs of all users of prepaid Twist cards. The list of points of sale, including their map locations, is available here. Vouchers can also be conveniently purchased from T-Mobile's e‑shop.
Credit can also be topped up via the Statement of Services (invoice). This means that a contract customer can top up credit for a Twist card user on his/her account. This method is mostly used by parents topping up credit for their children.
The numerous options also include credit top-up at Globus, BILLA, ROSSMANN and Electro World shops, Tipsport betting offices and via CCS and e-va terminals.
T-Mobile believes that the alternatives offered will meet the needs of all customers and the measure that the company has taken will have a minimal effect on them. For complete information about prepaid card top-up methods, please click here.
