CFO leaving T-Mobile International

• Thomas G. Winkler, Chief Financial Officer of T-Mobile International since 2001, will be leaving the company as of January 31. 

Bonn 19 January - Thomas G. Winkler, Chief Financial Officer of T-Mobile International, is resigning from his position as of January 31, 2007. Deutsche Telekom CEO René Obermann expressed great regret at Winkler's decision saying, "As Chief Financial Officer, Thomas Winkler made a substantial contribution to T-Mobile's commercial success in the past several years. For that I wish to thank him personally."

Winkler joined T-Mobile in September 2001. From that time until the present, the company more than doubled its revenue, EBITDA tripled and its cash contribution rose by 6 billion euros. Until a replacement for Winkler has been determined, Michael Günther, Board Member of T-Mobile International responsible for Joint Venture Management, will serve as acting CFO.
