Prague, 22 March 2010 - T-Mobile is radically improving its tariff plans for young people, BAV SE and BAV SE s Mých5. Effective today, all of their users can download music from the Universal Music catalogue containing 300,000 recordings that are not DRM copy-protected without any limitations. Thus, T-Mobile is the first in the Czech market to offer music without any compromise. The offer lasts until the end of this year.
"The unlimited music download feature makes these tariff plans for young people unrivalled in the Czech market," says T-Mobile's Vice President Portal & Content Services Michal Němec, adding: "This benefit applies both to new and existing users of the BAV SE and BAV SE s Mých5 tariff plans."
All existing and new users of BAV SE and BAV SE s Mých5 can now download an unlimited number of recordings from the catalogue at no extra cost - they will not be charged any fees for individual songs or data transmissions when downloading the music directly onto their phones; this benefit is included in the price of the tariff plan. This is an offer that is absolutely unique in the Czech market. The BAV SE tariff plans are the only ones in the Czech market offering not only traditional mobile services, such as calls, SMS and MMS, but also unlimited music download at a single monthly fee.
In addition, the music by artists such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Chinaski and The Cure, to name just a few examples, will not be DRM copy-protected and will be provided to customers for an unlimited period of time.
Universal Music, the world's biggest music publishing house, has decided to offer its music without copy protection in order to make legal music download more attractive as it is the case abroad.
The music designed for free download is contained in a separate catalogue which is accessible only to the respective phone numbers of BAV SE and BAV SE s Mých5 users. The music can be downloaded free of charge directly onto mobile phones from the t-zones WAP portal or the web'n'walk portal. As a result, everybody can "pump up" their phones with their favourite songs anywhere and anytime.
