Prague, 23 August 2006 - You no longer need to meet the condition of being a legal adult to be able to purchase a tariff plan. A tariff plan and the related benefits can now also be used by children from the age of 6. On 23 August, T-Mobile is introducing a new tariff plan called BAV SE which can be activated by young people aged 6 to 26. For CZK 190 excl. VAT (226.10 incl. VAT) per month, they can obtain a unique package of 50 free minutes for calls made to all local networks and 100 SMS to all mobile networks. The only condition relevant to entering into a Subscriber Contract is meeting the aforesaid age limit; there is no need to submit a confirmation of study. Customers who are now using Tariff Student will automatically be transferred to the BAV SE tariff and will thus be able to use all benefits related thereto.
"In 2003, we introduced the first tariff plan intended for young people - Tariff Student. This tariff plan has met and still meets with great interest and therefore, we decided to extend this tariff plan to both the younger children and those who do not continue their education after graduating from high school," says Martina Kemrová, spokesperson for T-Mobile, adding: "At the same time, we want to offer the lowest prices and very simple conditions for obtaining this tariff plan."
Low prices, free minutes
For CZK 190 excl. VAT (226.10 incl. VAT) per month, customers can obtain 50 free minutes for calls made to all Czech networks, both fixed and mobile, 100 SMS to any Czech mobile network and favorable prices for calls and SMS that are based on Tariff Student. For example, an off-peak call to the T-Mobile network is charged at CZK 1.90 excl. VAT (2.26 incl. VAT) and SMS is charged at only CZK 1 excl. VAT (1.19 incl. VAT). The contract for the BAV SE tariff can be concluded for a fixed period of either 12 or 24 months. When concluding a two-year contract, customers can purchase a mobile phone for a special price.
Young people who activate the BAV SE tariff will receive a bundle of free services that can be used every month:
The contract for a customer under the age of 18 must be signed by his/her legal guardian, i.e. a parent. The contract is registered under the customer's birth identification number; only one contract may be concluded for each birth identification number.
300 extra free minutes and other benefits
All new users who activate the BAV SE tariff by 30 September 2006 will receive an additional package of 300 free minutes that can be used at any time within a period of 12 months. Customers who conclude a contract by 31 October via the T-Mobile Internet Shop will obtain 100 free SMS each month for a period of one year, which means a total of 1,200 free SMS.
Customers who activate the BAV SE tariff by 30 September 2006 will also obtain the Pevná+ add-on without having to pay the monthly fee of CZK 49 excl. VAT (58.31 incl. VAT) for six months. With this add-on, calls to fixed lines are charged at only CZK 1/min. excl. VAT (1.19 incl. VAT).
