All users of Paegas services will be able to celebrate the overstepping of the million boundary in the number of customers on 19 March, when it will be possible to call within the CR for half the common rates the whole day. "Since we appreciate every one of our million clients, we decided to offer them a possibility to celebrate the round number with us: during the whole day on 19 March 2000 they pay only a half of national calls from the Paegas network," the marketing director of RadioMobil Robert Chvátal said.
The RadioMobil Company registered the millionth customer on Thursday 9 March 2000 and hence confirmed its position as the operator of the most dynamic GSM network in the CR. For it activated over 125 thousand new customers during the first ten weeks of this year. Since the beginning of the year, 2 500 people decided for Paegas every day. RadioMobil that started offering services first at the end of September of 1996, which is five years later than the other operator, is now only two months behind. At the same time, the competing company that has been on the Czech market since 1991 is apart from the GSM network operating also the older analog network. "Even though we have been on the market for a substantially shorter time, we succeeded in building a very good position here. Both public and experts perceive us as a leader in the field of modern technologies, which is supported by a number of various awards that RadioMobil received both home and abroad. At the same time, it is not only about technologies, no less important is the approach of customers and this is affirmed by the dynamics of their increase," the gazetteer of the RadioMobil Company Tereza Kakosová remarked.
The offer of calls for half the price for all the customers is an absolutely unique event in the CR. "We do not expect all our customers to call the whole day, but I still think that traffic will be significantly higher than it is usual. We decided for this unique event because it is practically impossible to determine who the millionth customer was and in addition to that we do not want to prefer individuals like others do, but we want to thank all our clients by this step," the gazetteer of the RadioMobil Company Tereza Kakosová specified.
During last week the operator of the Paegas network came up with a number of revolutionary novelties, when it offered data and fax services without activation and lump sum fees to all customers, not excluding users of Paegas Twist services. With appropriately equipped phones, everybody can use not only voice communication, but also sending and receipt of faxes, data connection, connection to the Internet (as a part of the Internet via Paegas service even for free), or use WAP. "Unlike the competition offering services, which only a small group of customers can use, we try to come up with solutions that makes communication and special services accessible to great numbers of our customers," Robert Chvátal remarked.

In half of March 2000 more than 1 000 000 customers used the services of the Paegas GSM network, into which RadioMobil invested 6 billion crowns only during 1999, which is a billion more than the other operator. Paegas hence became the leading operator on the Czech market by the number of new activations, when it acquired more than 500 000 new customers in 1999 as the first in the Czech mobile market history and over 125 thousand new clients during the first weeks of 2000.
