Every customer who activates any one of the standard tariffs from the beginning of July until the end of August will receive a free prepaid Paegas Twist card in addition. In this period every RadioMobil client can hence obtain up to three SIM cards together with a classic activation. In consequence, this means up to four phone numbers for the price of one.
"So far, customers could have taken advantage of the services Paegas Partner I and Paegas Partner II, that is one to two SIM cards free with most tariffs," the spokeswoman of RadioMobil Tereza Kakosová explains. "In that case, not only activation is free; the customer also pays only one monthly fee, and services are billed on one bill, with distinguished amounts spent on calls from individual SIM cards. The user has therefore an overview of all cards. In the summertime we are trying to do our best to satisfy those who want to be in connection with their families and friends during their leave as well. We think that it is the prepaid Twist card for free that will be the best gift for them from us."
100% Twist Roaming
At the time when the holidays begin customers will appreciate the Paegas Twist
card offer twice as much, because RadioMobil is now coming with a new technology
of roaming calls. It is the CAMEL system, which allows mobile phone users
to call with the same comfort as if they were using their phone in the Czech
Republic. CAMEL does not use back calls as do most GSM networks in the world.
So far, only those who visit Germany and roam with the D1 network can use it,
and it is assumed that the majority of GSM networks will work with it. However,
those customers who want to connect themselves from another operators network,
not supporting 100% roaming, do not have to fear. RadioMobil still allows them
to take advantage of prepaid roaming services based on back calls.
The Peagas Network Is Becoming Dual
Among summer novelties there is also the fact that at the beginning of July
of this year RadioMobil will start using transmitters in the 1800 MHz band as
well, and the Paegas GSM network will become dual. At the same time, the
number of cells is rapidly increasing since the beginning of this year, having
increased by 30 percent in the GSM 900 network during first five months. Customers
will not notice any change, because all the services will work exactly the same
way as in the 900 MHz range.
Today, customers can choose from about 30 dual phones in the Paegas sales network. Those dominated in the Paegas offer last year already, and they are therefore widely used by customers. At the moment, only two phones in the Paegas sales network are not dual: Nokia 5110 and Nokia Communicator 9110. RadioMobil is still adding the most modern phones to the existing offer.
New Phones in the Paegas Sales Network
There has been another WAP supporting phone available in the sales network
since June. It is the Ericsson R320s, which is sold for CZK 14 499 (w/o
VAT) when purchased with activation. Its price indicates that it is a higher-class
phone with a huge number of various functions including special features such
as voice commands. At the same time it is the first WAP supporting Ericsson
and it will widen the portfolio of WAP phones that RadioMobil offers.
Today, only Paegas offers six WAP supporting phones altogether:

During July RadioMobil will offer two more new models to its customers - Motorola V3690 and Siemens M35i. The first one belongs to the category of exclusive "miniphones" and it will gradually replace Motorola V3688 in the Paegas sales network. Contrary to its ancestor, it will be possible to control Motorola V3690 not only using keys, but also by voice. Siemens M35i, a version of the popular C35i, will be - thanks to its better resistance against shocks, dust and water - a good companion of those users who often use their phone in terrain.
The Widest Offer of Prepaid Sets
Together with the constantly innovated portfolio of new phones, Paegas also
offers the widest spectrum of sets with the prepaid Paegas Twist card and a

At the end of 1999, the Paegas brands share of the market amounted to 47%, and the share of its Paegas Twist pre-paid services even reached over 60%. During 1999 more than 500,000 new customers decided to use its services, which is the highest such figure in the history of mobile communications in the CR. The Paegas GSM network, which is operated by RadioMobil, is among the most technologically advanced in the world and has no rival on the Czech market for a whole range of services.
Only in the Paegas network can literally all customers, including owners of pre-paid Paegas Twist cards, make use of the most up-to-date services: completely cost-free data and fax transmissions, GSM banking, WAP-based services, Paegas Assistant and others. Currently, only RadioMobil offers the option of ordering services or monitoring billing over the Internet, thanks to the Paegas Info Profile service. And customers can always be sure that they have chosen the most effective operator on the Czech market.
RadioMobil can fully rely on its shareholders: ÄŚeské radiokomunikace - 51% (during 2001 its share will decrease to 39.2%, following exercise of an option by the CMobil consortium) and the CMobil consortium - 49% (beginning in 2001, 60.8%). The CMobil consortium is made up of the following: T-Mobil - a 100%-owned daughter company of Deutsche Telekom (85.55%), TIM - Telecom Italia Mobile (12%), as well as SKS - SpoĹ?itelní kapitálová spoleÄŤnost, a.s. and PVT, a.s.
Today the Paegas GSM network covers more than 99% of the Czech population and 99.8% of category 1 roadways. RadioMobil customers can use their mobile telephones in the networks of 183 operators in nearly 82 countries all over the world (110 different locations in all). During 1999 RadioMobil invested more than 5.5 billion Czech crowns into its network, and investment for the year 2000 is planned at over 10 billion. In June 2000 over 1 250 000 customers were using the Paegas services. Paegas registered about 400 000 new customers.
