The Deutsche Telekom Group, which includes the Czech T-Mobile, has defended its title of the most valuable telecommunications brand in the world in this year's Brand Finance Global 500 ranking . Its value increased by almost 13 percent year-on-year to a record $96.2 billion.
Telekom has also become the strongest corporate brand in Europe.
According to the study, the growth is mainly due to consistent work with unified branding, technological progress and good results in two main markets – Europe and the USA. As a result, the Deutsche Telekom Group ranked 11th in the overall global ranking, alongside brands such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.
The study is published annually by Brand Finance, an independent London-based company that has long been involved in valuing and analyzing brands around the world. The ranking includes the 500 most valuable brands according to their estimated market value in USD.
